As a quality exporter of cloves, we process all our cloves prior
to export. It is best that we illustrate the care we take in our
processing methods.
Cloves come from small, straight-trunked, cornical trees that are
evergreen throughout the year, which grows to about 30' to 40' high.
Clove is the nail-shaped flower bud picked just prior to flower
opening. These buds averages about 0.75 inches long at harvest.
The first yield from a seed comes only when the crop is 6-8 years
old.
After they are harvested, the cloves are dried on
mats for several days during sunny weather or machine dried during
monsoon season. Please see the picture below to understand our processing
methods in Madagascar.
